Trying a new product has never been easier - by offering our clean green laundry detergent as a sold by the pound product, you can try as little or as much detergent as you would like. To us, this just makes good cents. Although we are sure that once you try our Clean Green detergent you will become a regular Clean Green user, isn't it nice to try something in a smaller quantity? Vacuum sealed product = lower shipping costs & less material waste. Please transfer to a glass or ceramic container for best results - plastic ware is okay but not recommended.


100% Fragrance & Phosphate Free! Our formulas are non-sudsing, water softening, perfume, and phosphate free! Some people are bothered when they don't see bubbles, some just like bubbles because bubbles mean clean. This isn't a true statement, it is what we have been led to believe through commercial advertisements. rub-a-dub-dub with the soapy, soapy suds equals squeaky, squeaky clean. Not Perfumed! Sensitive noses and skin types have 2 formula choices one without bluing and one with bluing. Called Clean Green Simple these formulas have nothing whatsoever added to them to make 'em smelly which makes this the naturally perfect formula for infant and elders alike. Four lightly Scented botanical formulas use 100% pure essential oils - no allergen reactive fragrance oils are used - pure essential oils will not cause that perfume sneeze so many other commercial laundry detergent formulas produce. Lavender, Lemon & Thyme, and Lavender & Tea Tree make up our bacteria buster formulas with natural, botanical, antifungal, antiviral, and antibacterial action. Lively Citrus, gets its nice clean scent from grapefruit, Lemon, and orange.

Each pound of detergent will clean 5 loads of laundry using a 1/2 cup detergent per washload, and 9 loads of laundry when using 1/3 cup detergent per washload. Clean Green contains Sodium Carbonate, Sodium Borate, Mrs. Stewart's Bluing [optional], Essential oils of Lemon, Thyme, Lavender, Tea Tree, Grapefruit, Orange [optional/optional blending]

Tips & Tricks Trillium has been using this laundry detergent for 11 years now and this is what she has learned about dirty laundry.
1) take your time! Change the way you think of laundry - add between 1/3 & 1/2 cup of your Clean Green detergent and start filling your wash tub or sink or bathtub with cold water [save energy and use cold water] and keep filling until your detergent has dissolved, remembering that the bluing formulas will tint your water a little, then add your clothing. I need to tell you that Trillium uses a laundry stick to help her in the washing task. When filling the tub your stick can help speed the dissolving process.
2) Take your time! Now walk away and let your laundry soak. Overnight is best but even an hour helps. By soaking your clothes you allow the detergent to do its job by soaking into the fabric and work on loosening dirt and stains. Now this is also where Trillium's stick comes in handy - she props the stick upright holding the lid open to remind her that clothes be a soakin'.
3) Remove the stick if you have used one, and start your wash load as you normally would if you hadn't have done any pre-laundry soaking. Trust me, this method is user friendly and easy to get used to, and your clothes will come out of the wash cleaner than ever before! Trillium hang dries her clothes all year long saving just that much more of our precious energy...but hey, one step at a time for greener living! Remember, stick use is optional!!
